Gov Spanberger’s gun ban is illegal

Letter

Dear Editor:

The recent Virginia gun ban isn’t about “safety” alone.

They are also for preparing the way for Islamist takeover of the United States.

If Page County followed suit with Spotslyvania and Smyth Counties to not enforce Gov. Spanberger’s gun ban it would be a good thing.

The ban is an illegal order.

  1. Mr. Sanford,

May I please ask how old you are and where all your negativity comes from? All I’ve ever tried to do is help others to strive for this to be a “better place to be”.

  2. Yes Sir. Especially when I see a major flaw in the ideology of a candidate that I cannot condone. 1971 I was still in high school. 1972 I chose Nixon because McGovern seemed too liberal. We all make mistakes. I lived and learned much about the life since then.

  3. Other counties are doing the same as smyth and spotslyvania. It’s going to happen in most va. Counties,as page will also. This state would be the best place to continue to live if we could get this crazy so called governor out of office. She lied about everything so said she was about. I don’t see or feel any negativity about Mr sanfords statement. All true statements. Look it up

  4. As i said page county will join other counties to state the new gun laws are unconstitutional, the commonwealths attorney of page county followed suit and declared the gun laws unenforceable on may 30th

  5. “Paula D” Richard Nixon was a good President. The Watergate breakin wasn’t his idea and he didn’t know anything about it until the story broke. It’s what he did afterwards that was wrong, that is, the coverup. Similar to Obama, Hillary Clinton, the FBI and DOJ. Remember the Russia hoax? Crossfire Hurricane? Did you vote for Obama or Clinton?
Nixon had major accomplishments while in office.
Google Serch: “President Richard Nixon achieved major bipartisan breakthroughs in foreign policy—including the historic diplomatic opening to China and the SALT I nuclear arms treaty—while his domestic administration fundamentally reshaped the U.S. government by establishing the EPA and ending the military draft.A detailed breakdown of his primary accomplishments includes:Foreign PolicyOpening to China: Completed a historic visit to the People’s Republic of China in 1972, ending two decades of diplomatic isolation and establishing new geopolitical ties.Détente with the USSR: Negotiated and signed the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty and the Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty (SALT I) with Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev, easing Cold War tensions.Vietnam War Exit: Ended direct U.S. combat involvement with the signing of the Paris Peace Accords in 1973.Environmental ConservationCreated the EPA: Established the Environmental Protection Agency in 1970 to consolidate federal environmental research, monitoring, and standard-setting.Landmark Legislation: Signed the Clean Air Act of 1970, the Marine Mammal Protection Act, and the Endangered Species Act.Legacy of Parks: Converted over 80,000 acres of federal property into hundreds of new recreational areas and public parks.Civil Rights & Domestic ReformsSchool Desegregation: Quietly oversaw and successfully implemented the desegregation of public schools across the American South.Title IX (1972): Signed the Education Amendments, which ensured women could no longer be excluded from federally funded educational programs, revolutionizing women’s sports and academics. The 26th Amendment (1971): Championed the constitutional amendment that lowered the federal voting age from 21 to 18.Ending the Draft: Fulfilled a major campaign promise by ending the military draft and ushering in the All-Volunteer Armed Forces.National Cancer Act (1971): Initiated a multi-million dollar federal offensive against cancer that laid the foundation for modern medical research infrastructure.”
The presidential “mistake” I made, after voting for Nixon twice, was to vote for Jimmy Carter over Ford because I didn’t like how Gerald Ford did with Vietnam. Carter was a good man and all, but not too familiar with the nature of man. You can’t turn the other cheek to mortal threats, when the only language these threats understand is strangulation or hot lead.

  6. Politics are driving this country apart. Democracy is suppose to be in the hands of the people, not the politicians whose “parties” have taken away our participation in the choice of candidates. I would ask you, please, to stop lecturing me on history. I want a viable solution to fix the mess we’re in.

    • Like the “Texas Jew Boy”, Kinky Friedman said, “We have to take the politics out of politics if we are to survive as a nation.”

  7. Thank you R. Snader. I’m feeling today like the song the 4nonblondes “what’s going on?” and it is exhausting to care.

  8. Mr. Sanford’s comment repeating the term “Texas Jew Boy”, was hideous to me. Randy, are there no boundaries/limits to your desire for the number of responses you can receive to a letter to the editor? I’m done until a reliable news source becomes available, like when HE– double hockey sticks freezes over. Good luck looking for donations to support your biased publication.

  9. I beieve in Mr Sanford’s satirical way this is who he is referring to.”Texas Jewboy primarily refers to Kinky Friedman and his satirical country music band, Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys, which Friedman formed in the early 1970s as a parody of Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys. Friedman, a Jewish Texan, used the persona to blend country music with sharp social commentary on racism, antisemitism, and politics”. Read the last sentence of this. Not offensive at all.

  10. Anon, and how I wish I could be that here, THANK YOU for a plausible explanation and educating me. I am open hearted and open minded.

    • And I quote, “I’m done until a reliable news source becomes available, like when HE– double hockey sticks freezes over.” But yet as a reliable and faithful dem/lib/prog/soc/commie you still had to respond. Reminds me of another famous lib that sang “True Colors.”

  11. The Supreme (Corrupt) Court has consistently refused to intervene in such bans in other states, so the idea it is “illegal” sot of reminds me of that Onion headline from few years ago: “Local man a passionate defender of what he believes the constitution to be..” LOL If you don’t like the ban, then win the house, senate, and governor’s mansion and you can repeal it.

Also, I find it ironic and sad that a County that suffered a tragedy at the hands of a pycho with an assault weapon has a Commonwealth Attorney that foolishly states the ban is “Unconstitutional”, again, see above.

Ironically, these same people didn’t seem to care much when masked goons killed an American citizens who was lawfully carrying a gun. Don’t seem to care much when their Mango Messiah ignores court orders or constitutional protocols almost daily. Got it.

I get it, you’re all card carrying members Nueva Confederacy, and the assault weapon is a political and almost religious sacrament in this new Cold Civil War, mostly being fought on line comment sections.

“Mister Saturday Night Special, you got a barrel that’s blue and cold / You ain’t good for nothin’ but puttin’ men six feet in a hole….So why don’t we dump ’em people, to the bottom of the sea, before some old fool come around here / Wanna shoot either you or me.”

    • Pssst…once you start interfering with lawful law enforcement actions, your purported “lawful carrying of a gun” becomes mighty suspect. And never forget, when you need a firearm immediately to save your life or the life of a loved one, the police are only minutes away.

  12. Stop please, everyone. Labeling people will not get us anywhere. So says the “reliable and faithful dem/lib/prog/soc/commie”, non of which I am in case anyone suspected the slander has merit.
