Age 76, Mechanicsville, Md.
Barry James Royston, 76, of Mechanicsville, Md., passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
He was born on March 28, 1950, in Harrisonburg, Va., and was a son of the late James Ray Lam and Mildred Dean Royston.
On October 30, 1976, he married Patricia Turner Royston, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Barry is survived by a daughter, Tracey Gray of Waldorf, Md.; four grandchildren, Tanea Neal, Dontre Proctor, Mikayla Proctor and Dominic Proctor, all of Waldorf, Md.; and one great-grandchild, Taniya Vereen.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Barry Royston; and a stepbrother, Steve Lam.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Matt Dovel, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
