David George Newman Jr., 78, of Luray, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
He was born on March 22, 1948, in Medina, NY, and was a son of the late David George Newman Sr. and Myrtle Dill Newman.
David was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring with more than 20 years of service. He worked as a manager for Shenandoah National Park for 23 years.
On February 14, 1971, he married Loretta Parris Newman, who survives.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by a sister, Brenda Wheeler and husband Bill of New York. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Koneski.
Services are planned for a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
